London's Strong Asian Mothers' blend of styles and emphatic live show has been making waves on the capital's underground gig scene for a while. Best friends since their early years, AmerKalim and Josh have played in bands together throughout their childhoods but it was under Strong Asian Mothers that they really found their strength. Tying together influences from Hip Hop and Trap with Pop in a live band aesthetic really sets this band out all on their own path.

If in the studio these three excel, then on the stage is where they truly come in to their own. A string of headline spots forCommunion, plus stand out performances at the likes ofBestivalSecret GardenThe Great Escape and Reading &Leeds, have cemented them as one of the country's most exciting and promising live acts. Blending electronic and live elements they seamlessly bridge the gap between gig and club and really bring the party. Amer from the band says "We created a live show and chose certain instruments and roles in order to create an experience where every single member is seen as an irreplaceable front man in their own right."

Their debut 'Lynx Africa' EP won an army of fans across the board from Clash Mag to Pigeons & Planes and became a firm favourite across the Radio 1 airwaves with Huw StephensAnnie Mac and Phil Taggart providing heavy rotation before the lead single 'The More Than I' went on to be added to the BBC Introducing playlist.
